Baseball Recap: Highland Prep West Comes Up Short

Highland Prep West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-4 to the Glendale Prep Academy Griffins.

Highland Prep West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mateo Espinoza, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Highland Prep West's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Glendale Prep Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Highland Prep West is set to challenge their familiar foe North Valley Christian Academy at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Glendale Prep Academy will take on rival Mountainside at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
