Baseball Game Preview: Templeton Eagles vs. Cabrillo Conquistadores

For the second straight game, Templeton will face off against Cabrillo. The Eagles will challenge the Conquistadores at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Templeton took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They skirted past Cabrillo 5-4.

The team relied heavily on Leo Rivera, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Templeton's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-15 when he doesn't). Luke Stetz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Templeton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.

Templeton's win bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Cabrillo, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-20.
