Basketball Recap: Elle Robinson and Regan Becker Secure Win for St. James Academy

St. James Academy won the last time they faced Piper and things went their way on Friday too. The St. James Academy Thunder walked away with a 66-59 win over the Piper Pirates. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunder.

St. James Academy was led to victory by Regan Becker and Elle Robinson. Becker dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Robinson dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave Robinson a new career-high in points. Riley Kerwin was another key player, going 6 for 10 en route to 13 points.

St. James Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Piper, they moved to 8-2 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Piper is facing Leavenworth at the right time seeing as Leavenworth is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
