Soccer Game Preview: San Augustine vs. Diboll

The San Augustine Wolves will head out to face off against the Diboll Lumberjacks at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. San Augustine's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

In Saturday's Canine Competition, San Augustine didn't have enough. They fell just short of Pollok Central by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Diboll came up short against New Waverly on Friday, falling 9-5. The Lumberjacks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-1.

San Augustine's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Diboll, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

San Augustine suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Diboll when the teams last played back in January of 2023. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point San Augustine was down 6-0.
