Volleyball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin dropped down to 11-21 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers by a score of 2-1. The Sabers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Kaitlyn Marx paced Franklin's offense, picking up 11 kills. Marx got some help from Allie Sobocinski and her 18 assists. Sobocinski was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, their record now sits at 20-17. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 27th.

Maitlyn Rhode was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 15 assists and five digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven matches.

Coincidentally, Franklin and Kettle Moraine Lutheran will both be playing Kettle Moraine the next time they take the court. The Sabers will head out to face the Lasers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Chargers will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
