Volleyball Game Preview: Crystal Lake South Gators vs. Huntley Red Raiders

Crystal Lake South is 1-9 against Huntley since October of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Gators are taking a road trip to take on the Red Raiders at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Crystal Lake South earned a 2-0 win over McHenry. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

While Crystal Lake South might've won, it sure wasn't easy: McHenry scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Huntley beat Dundee-Crown 2-0 on Tuesday.

Huntley easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15.

Huntley's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Crystal Lake South, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Crystal Lake South couldn't quite get it done against Huntley when the teams last played back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Gators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
