Football Recap: Throckmorton Takes a Loss

If Throckmorton was feeling good fresh off their 41-14 takedown of Crowell last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Greyhounds were beaten by the Gold-Burg Bears 56-14 on Friday. The Greyhounds were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bears from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Throckmorton's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Gold-Burg, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, Throckmorton will challenge Forestburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Greyhounds will be up against the Longhorns' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.57 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Gold-Burg, they will host Fort Worth THESA at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
