Volleyball Game Preview: Carlsbad Lancers vs. Granite Hills Eagles

Carlsbad has won 12 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Granite Hills has won 12 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Lancers will host the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Carlsbad got the win against La Costa Canyon by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now won nine in a row.

Carlsbad was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 29-27, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Granite Hills made easy work of Helix on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Granite Hills never let Helix on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-17.

Granite Hills is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-10 record this season. As for Carlsbad, their win bumped their record up to 31-2.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's game: Carlsbad has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7 aces per game.
