Basketball Recap: Emily Callahan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Indian Land over Northwestern

Indian Land lost against Northwestern back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Indian Land Warriors fell 47-37 to the Northwestern Trojans. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Indian Land's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily Callahan, who went 6-for-8 on her way to 14 points. What's more, Callahan also posted a 75% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Knoll, who posted four points along with ten rebounds and five steals.

Indian Land's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Northwestern, their victory bumped their record up to 5-15.

Indian Land wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-34 loss against Greenville on the 17th. As for Northwestern, they have also already played their next matchup, a 65-21 defeat against T.L. Hanna on the 17th.
