Volleyball Recap: Oak Ridge Takes a Loss

Oak Ridge lost against Clinton back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Dragons 25-21 in the first set.

Oak Ridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-20, 25-23, 30-28.

Clinton found their leader in freshman Alaina Staudenmaier, who had 11 digs and three aces.

Oak Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Clinton, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-12.

As of now, neither Oak Ridge nor the Dragons have any future games scheduled.
