Preview: Westbury Huskies vs. Heights Bulldogs

Westbury is 2-8 against the Bulldogs since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Westbury Huskies will be playing at home against the Heights Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Westbury had to suffer through a rough 84-30 loss at the hands of the Cardinals. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Westbury has scored all season.

Meanwhile, Heights was the victim of a rough 66-42 loss at the hands of the Cardinals last Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Heights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 541st, while the Cardinals are ranked 69th).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Joseph Coleman, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Conor Mccarthy was another key contributor, scoring three points along with five rebounds and two blocks.

This is the second loss in a row for Westbury and nudges their season record down to 10-16. As for Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-16.

Westbury came up short against the Bulldogs in their previous matchup back in January, falling 71-64. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Heights' Rockwell Henderson, who scored 21 points along with three steals. Now that Westbury knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
