Glendale Prep Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Wickenburg Wranglers 16-5. Considering the Griffins have won three games by more than ten runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Alex Rodriguez made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Rodriguez was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-6.

In other batting news, Glendale Prep Academy got a massive performance out of Nathaniel Jensen, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Jensen has posted since back in April of 2024. Corbin Kim was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances.

Glendale Prep Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .569. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wickenburg only posted an OBP of .355.

Glendale Prep Academy pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Wickenburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Glendale Prep Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Camp Verde at 3:45 p.m. on the 31st. As for Wickenburg, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 17-0 victory against Highland Prep West on the 17th.
