Basketball Game Preview: Chatham Central Bears vs. Graham Red Devils

Chatham Central has gone 7-0 against Graham recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Chatham Central Bears just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Graham Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Chatham Central's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Graham has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Chatham Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 69-40 win over North Moore. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bears as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Chatham Central had a senior duo take command as Chloe Scott went 10 of 19 on her way to 28 points and three steals and Karaleigh Dodson dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scott has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mattie Underwood, who posted four points and seven assists.

Meanwhile, Graham played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Cummings, falling 50-24.

Chatham Central's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Graham, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Everything came up roses for Chatham Central against Graham in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 48-17 victory. Will Chatham Central repeat their success, or does Graham have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
