There's no place like home for Monterey, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs by a score of 51-41 on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Monterey found their leader in freshman Tanner Brown, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 20 points and four steals. Brown is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Garrett Wessels, who posted eight points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Monterey smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Monterey's victory bumped their record up to 8-19. As for Red Boiling Springs, they dropped their record down to 0-22 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road.

Monterey has already played their next match, a 67-52 defeat against Scott on the 14th. As for Red Boiling Springs, they will square off against Clarkrange at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Boiling Springs is facing Clarkrange at the right time seeing as Clarkrange is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
