Basketball Game Preview: Fayette Academy Vikings vs. Crosstown Explorers

The Fayette Academy Vikings will face off against the Crosstown Explorers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Fayette Academy and three for Crosstown.

Fayette Academy is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Hardin County on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Vikings came up short against the Tigers, falling 56-36. The Vikings were down 51-31 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Fayette Academy had strong showings from Kahne Dozier, who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and four steals, and Harris Armour, who earned 14 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Crosstown came up short against Soulsville on Friday and fell 62-55.

Fayette Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Crosstown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
