Baseball Recap: Rowe Victorious

Rowe proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by nine) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Gregory-Portland Wildcats 4-2.

The team relied heavily on Samuel De La Fuente, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Matthew Garza, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Rowe now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Gregory-Portland, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Rowe will take on Holmes in a tournament on Friday. As for Gregory-Portland, they will be taking part in a tournament against Weslaco at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
