Basketball Recap: Pond Creek-Hunter Takes a Loss

Pond Creek-Hunter lost against Lomega back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pond Creek-Hunter Panthers were beaten by the Lomega Raiders 62-31. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Raiders are ranked 40th).

Pond Creek-Hunter has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 16 of their last 18 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Lomega, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-3.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers duke it out with the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lomega does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
