Baseball Recap: Imperial Comes Up Short

Imperial's tournament run continued when they took on Hemet on Wednesday. The Tigers came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 15-5. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Imperial saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Salgado, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Ares Velarde was another, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Imperial's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Hemet, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-7.

Coming up, Imperial will be taking part in a tournament against Francis Parker at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Hemet, they will take on Escondido in a tournament on Thursday.
