Softball Recap: Davidson Warriors vs. Rain Red Raiders
While Davidson put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Rain. The Warriors were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Red Raiders. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now won nine in a row.
Sophia Edmonson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Edmonson was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Mar'Kayla Scott was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Bailey Hicks was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.
