Volleyball Recap: Plainfield North Takes a Loss

Plainfield North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hinsdale Central Red Devils. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Red Devils when the teams met back in May of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Nolan Riley paced Plainfield North's offense, picking up five kills. Riley got some help from Joey cavlovic and his 11 assists.

John Lynch was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had five digs and four aces. That's the most digs he has posted over his last ten games.

Plainfield North's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Hinsdale Central, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-9.

Plainfield North has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Plainfield Central on the 26th. As for Hinsdale Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Glenbard East on the 26th.
