Basketball Recap: Ravenwood Takes a Loss

Ravenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by the Brentwood Bruins and fell 82-53. While losing is never fun, the Raptors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Bruins are ranked 24th).

Ravenwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Brentwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Coming up, Ravenwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ravenwood is facing Centennial at the right time seeing as Centennial is stuck on a 19-game losing streak. As for Brentwood, they are taking a road trip to face off against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brentwood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Independence likes a good challenge.
