Basketball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

North Central was the 62-43 winner over Swanton when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The North Central Eagles came up short against the Swanton Bulldogs on Saturday, falling 69-45. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 552nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 208th).

North Central has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Swanton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

North Central and Paulding will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Central is facing Paulding at the right time seeing as Paulding is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Swanton, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Patrick Henry at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
