Softball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Trinity Christian Academy won the last time they faced Seabreeze and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Sandcrabs. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Jenessa Pomales spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Kay'La Jones was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Manzano, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Jones wasn't the only one making solid contact: Trinity Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seabreeze only managed one hit.

Trinity Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.0 runs over those games. As for Seabreeze, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-6 record.

Looking ahead, Trinity Christian Academy will head out to challenge First Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seabreeze, they will welcome Crescent City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.08 runs per game on average), something the Sandcrabs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
