Ida Baker is 9-1 against Cape Coral since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Ida Baker will head out on the road to square off against Cape Coral at 6:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, Cape Coral entered their tilt with Lely on Friday with nine consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with ten. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Seahawks, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Emma Brannan and Emma White made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Brannan struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, White tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Brannan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. At bat, Brannan scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4, while White scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jocelyn Slater was a standout: she scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriela Gonzalez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

Cape Coral kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.

Cape Coral's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Ida Baker, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Ida Baker took their victory against Cape Coral in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ida Baker since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
