Softball Recap: St. Bernard's Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hamilton, St. Bernard was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Maxwell Panthers with a sharp 13-5 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Crusaders considering their one-run performance the contest before.

St. Bernard's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Maxwell, they moved to 5-7-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, St. Bernard's will head out on the road to face off against Ferndale at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maxwell, they will square off against Trinity at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
