Basketball Game Preview: Verde Valley Coyotes vs. Orme Warriors

The Verde Valley Coyotes will face off against the Orme Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Verde Valley will be strutting in after a victory while Orme will be coming in after a loss.

If Orme heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Verde Valley took over last week. Verde Valley took down Telesis Prep 36-17 on Wednesday.

Peter Heller was the offensive standout of the matchup as he posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chaveyo Viafora, who put up 11 points.

Meanwhile, Orme was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 59-29 loss at the hands of American Heritage Academy.

Orme's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Verde Valley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
