Basketball Recap: Shawnee Skates Past Kenton with Ease + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shawnee). They breezed past the Kenton Wildcats to the tune of 97-39 on Friday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Leading Shawnee to victory were Trevick Bertke and Beckett Bertke. Trevick shot 85% from the field to rack up 23 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists, while Beckett went 11-for-21 on his way to 27 points along with six assists and three steals. Trevick's evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Greyson McDonald, who posted eight points in addition to seven steals and five assists.

Shawnee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Shawnee's record is now 3-1. As for Kenton, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
