Volleyball Recap: Sky View Falls Despite Big Games from Abby Thatcher and Brynn Spackman

Sky View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Copper Hills Grizzlies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2021.

Sky View's loss came despite strong showings from Brynn Spackman and Abby Thatcher. Spackman had 28 digs and five assists, while Thatcher had 24 digs and three assists. Thatcher is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played. Sophia Doxey also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Sky View's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Copper Hills, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.

Sky View has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Juab on the 26th. As for Copper Hills, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams at 9:30 a.m.
