Volleyball Recap: Globe Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Globe came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Florence Gophers. The Tigers have struggled against the Gophers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

While Globe was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Florence's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-9, 25-20.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Florence to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lexie Hoffman, who had seven digs and three aces.

Globe's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Florence, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Globe will face off against rival Seton Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Florence is set to challenge their familiar foe Coolidge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
