Baseball Recap: Elkins Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Elkins proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 19) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Rogers Mountaineers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Elks have posted since March 27, 2024.

The win (which was Elkins' fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Rogers, they moved to 9-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
