Basketball Game Preview: Franklin County Lions vs. East Jackson Eagles

The Franklin County Lions will take on the East Jackson Eagles at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

East Jackson is hoping to do what Hart County couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Franklin County's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Franklin County came out on top against Hart County by a score of 79-67. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by exactly 12 points.

Meanwhile, East Jackson came up short against Prince Avenue Christian on Tuesday and fell 70-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (59), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

East Jackson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Franklin County, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
