Joshua's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ruby Vincent, who had ten digs.
Meanwhile, Burleson unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Centennial. The Elks haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 24-26, 25-17.
Despite the loss, Burleson got top-tier performance from Jayce Davault, who had 18 digs and four aces. The dominant performance gave Davault a new career-high in aces.
Joshua has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record this season. As for Burleson, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-12.
