Softball Recap: Jim Thorpe Comes Up Short

Jim Thorpe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Palmerton Blue Bombers, falling 15-3.

Jim Thorpe saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryah Confer, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Jim Thorpe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Palmerton, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Jim Thorpe will square off against Panther Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Olympians will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Palmerton, they will take on Lehighton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
