Basketball Recap: Monticello Takes a Loss

Monticello lost against Goshen Central back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Monticello Panthers came up short against the Goshen Central Gladiators, falling 64-42.

Monticello has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Goshen Central, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Monticello will be playing at home against Cornwall Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cornwall Central will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Monticello surely won't give up without a fight. As for Goshen Central, they will square off against Valley Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goshen Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Valley Central likes a good challenge.
