Baseball Recap: Canyon Hills Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Canyon Hills's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Sweetwater Red Devils on Thursday. The Rattlers have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Canyon Hills saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Barroga, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That's the most hits Barroga has posted since back in March of 2024. Elijah Shoate also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Canyon Hills' loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for Sweetwater, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Canyon Hills has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Olympian on the 22nd. As for Sweetwater, they will take on Hoover at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
