Softball Recap: Claymont Takes a Loss

Claymont lost against Martins Ferry on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-4 to the Purple Riders, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Claymont's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Martins Ferry, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-4.

Claymont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Martins Ferry, they will welcome West Muskingum at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Purple Riders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tornadoes have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
