Basketball Recap: Dierks Kegler Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Iola

Fort Scott won the last time they faced Iola and things went their way on Monday too. The Tigers walked away with a 56-43 win over the Mustangs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Scott to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dierks Kegler, who posted 13 points in addition to eight assists and eight rebounds. Kegler is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Dredyn Marlow was another key player, going 6-for-14 on his way to 15 points and six boards.

When it comes to explaining why Iola lost, don't look at Austin Crooks. Despite the final result, he put up 14 points. Another player making a difference was Roy Gordon, who earned nine points.
