Baseball Game Preview: Biddeford Tigers vs. Gorham Rams

The Biddeford Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Gorham Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Biddeford sitting on seven straight victories and Gorham on five.

Biddeford came out on top against Deering on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Tigers took their game against the Rams 6-2. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Biddeford's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Kaiser, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave Kaiser a new career-high. Travis Edgerton was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Gorham posted their closest victory since May 11, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Massabesic 3-1.

Gorham's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Biddeford, their record is now 7-0.

Biddeford might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Gorham in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
