Basketball Recap: Zariah Evans' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wenonah over Houston

Wenonah saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They lost 65-41 to the Houston Mustangs. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wenonah lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Zariah Evans, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 14 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Londyn Scott, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.

Wenonah's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Houston, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Wenonah will head out on the road to take on Bessemer City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Houston, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-37 defeat against Dyersburg on the 25th.
