Softball Recap: Bloomfield Bengals vs. Ridgefield Park Scarlets
After flying high against Belleville on Saturday, Bloomfield came back down to earth. The Bengals fell just short of the Ridgefield Park Scarlets by a score of 12-11 on Tuesday.
Teagan Weber stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Haag, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Ridgefield Park, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-16.
Coming up, Bloomfield will take on Kennedy at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Ridgefield Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
