Football Recap: Martin County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Martin County couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were beaten by the Seminole Ridge Hawks 33-0 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 30, 2024.

Seminole Ridge found their leader in sophomore Aubrey Fogel, who threw for 305 yards and five TDs while completing 88.2% of her passes. Fogel has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last six times she's played.

Martin County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Seminole Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Martin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seminole Ridge, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 26-6 win against Belleview on the 1st.
