Softball Recap: Issaquah Extends Winning Streak to Five

Issaquah extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping their season record up to 16-2 in the process. They put the hurt on the Eastlake Wolves with a sharp 11-1 win. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Shae Erickson (2027) made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Erickson (2027) was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Issaquah got a massive performance out of Abby Cleveland (2026), who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Riley Baumann (2026), who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Issaquah hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastlake struck out seven times.

As for Eastlake, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-8. The game marked their lowest-scoring match so far this season.

On Eastlake's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macie Parthemer, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Issaquah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastlake, they will face off against Mount Si at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
