Basketball Recap: Summit Christian Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greenbrier Christian Academy, Summit Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They snuck past the Portsmouth Christian Patriots with a 43-38 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Jenna Patrick and Delani Nash certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Patrick posted six points and four steals, while Nash had 14 points and six rebounds.

Summit Christian Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Portsmouth Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

When Summit Christian Academy and Portsmouth Christian next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Summit Christian Academy will try to stop Virginia Girls HomeSchool's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Similarly, Portsmouth Christian will try to stop StoneBridge's five-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
