Basketball Recap: Mena Comes Up Short

Mena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 50-39 to the Dardanelle Sand Lizards. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Sand Lizards are ranked 108th).

Mena's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Dardanelle, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-7.

Mena has already played their next match (against Ozark), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Dardanelle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-34 victory against Clarksville on the 24th.
