Softball Recap: Belton Comes Up Short

Belton and Crandall squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Belton had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-3 to the Pirates, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Belton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Crandall, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Pirates beat Belton by a score of 9-2 later that day.
