Football Recap: Johnsonville Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Johnsonville came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 40-13 loss at the hands of the Waccamaw Warriors. The Flashes were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Johnsonville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zaghe Davis, who rushed for 92 yards and one touchdown. The Flashes also got help from Takhari Ross, who showed off his sure hands for 108 receiving yards.

A big part of Waccamaw's win came down to the chemistry between Andre Grate and his top target Nick Kondratenko. Grate rushed for 52 yards and a pair of TDs while Kondratenko rushed for 100 yards. What's more, Grate posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Johnsonville fell to 3-1. As for Waccamaw, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Johnsonville has already played their next matchup, a 21-6 victory against Lake View on the 19th. As for Waccamaw, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 50-14 win against Andrews on the 19th.
