Baseball Game Preview: Northview Knights vs. Cascade Cadets

The Northview Knights will challenge the Cascade Cadets at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Northview managed to slip by Bloomington South the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Knights came up short against the Panthers on Friday, falling 11-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Cascade fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Clinton Prairie on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Gophers by a score of 5-4.

Braxton Lewis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Northview moved to 7-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Cascade, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
