Soccer Recap: Mission Veterans Memorial Takes a Loss

Mission Veterans Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 4-1 to the Martin Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 1-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Mission Veterans Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4-1. As for Martin, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mission Veterans Memorial will take on Rio Grande City at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Martin, they will square off against Mission at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Martin will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more goals each game than the last.
