Volleyball Recap: Liberty Extends Winning Streak to Three

Liberty had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Frisco Raccoons as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Liberty not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Frisco between 15 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-17.

Jaiden Harris paced Liberty's offense, picking up 12 kills. Harris got some help from Allison Tredwell and her 20 assists. Tredwell was also a major player on defense: she and she shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.

When it comes to explaining why Frisco lost, don't look at Cleo Chang. Despite the final result, she had 17 assists and three digs. Chang is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 16 games she's played.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 25-4. As for Frisco, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Liberty is set to take on their familiar foe Lebanon Trail at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Frisco will square off against rival Emerson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
