Basketball Recap: Indian Rocks Christian Takes a Loss

Indian Rocks Christian lost against Seffner Christian back in February of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles were dealt a 78-40 defeat at the hands of the Crusaders.

Despite the loss, Indian Rocks Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jadyn Victor posted eight points and eight boards.

Seffner Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vernon Lee Jr, who shot 6-for-10 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 30 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave Lee Jr a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Arcadian Davis, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 22 rebounds.

Indian Rocks Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Seffner Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Indian Rocks Christian is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seffner Christian, they will be taking part in a tournament against Pine Ridge at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
